MONTEL WILLIAMS/TARA FOWLER BERMUDA WEDDING - TUCKERS POINT OCTOBER 6, 2007 -

The Bridal Suite had the pleasure of planning Montel Williams and Tara Fowler's Bermuda Wedding on the beach at Tuckers Point on Saturday,October 6th. Montel and Tara exchanged their vows in Bermuda tradition under a moongate. Guests were treated to numerous exciting events leading up to their wedding with golf excursions, a romantic cruise the night before the wedding on the Venetian Yacht, attending the Bermuda Jazz Festival where Lionel Ritchie, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Smokey Robinson performed. Montel was brought to tears when he arrived at Tuckers Point and saw the beauty of not only the wedding site, but also Tara as she walked towards him to the traditional "Here Comes the Bride". Tara wearing a Badgley Mischka gown took his breath away. Both Montel and Tara share a love for Bermuda and its beauty.

TELEVISION SPECIAL

One of The Bridal Suite's Bermuda weddings is featured on the Learning Channel, which airs daily on a program called "A Wedding Story". This segment of our Bermuda Wedding aired recently and is featured approximately 6 times yearly and hopefully, you will have an opportunity to experience our Bermuda Wedding.

“The magic and beauty of a Bermudian wedding will be showcased for millions of romantic television viewers next week. The Learning Channel will air an episode of “A Wedding Story” filmed from Bermuda’s scenic South shore. The episode focused on a wedding organized by Carmen & Allister Simmons of The Bridal Suite. Bermudians and millions of viewers’ worldwide met Charles and Sonya O’Brian before, during and after their ceremony. They decided on Bermuda because it was there they had spent their first vacation together and where they had fallen in love. The ceremony itself was held at Astwood Park, Mr. Simmons’ favorite setting because it epitomizes Bermuda’s scenic beauty. Against a dramatic backdrop of cliffs, ocean and blue sky, the couple walked through the moongate where they took their vows. The whole atmosphere was romantic, spontaneous and utterly relaxed. "It was so unrehearsed," the bride said, "That's what made it perfect".

Another exciting television special, aired on PBS in April, 2003 entitled "Beautiful Bermuda". This film features Bermuda sites and scenes, and also includes the wedding of Jennifer & David Divincenzo on August 6, 2002 at Astwood Park. Mrs. Diana Darrid, who is a Bermudian, an actress and the mother of the actor Michael Douglas, organized this production and The Bridal Suite was asked to be a part of this wonderful film.
